Māori survivors

The Survivor Experiences Service invites survivors, whānau, and whakapapa - if you wish - to share your experiences to begin a journey to restore the mana and mauri you may have felt disconnected from during your time in care.

The Service upholds tikanga Māori, and values mātauranga Māori. We aim to support you and your wider whānau and community by using te ao Māori principles and approaches.
You will have the option to share your experiences of abuse in a setting, and with people, who understand the link between whakapapa, identity, belonging and oranga.
You can generally share your experiences in a location and setting of your choice.
